Privacy Policy
How North East Express LLC collects, uses and protects your information.
On this page
North East Express LLC ("North East Express," "we," "us" or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through our website, phone, email and text communications, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our website or services, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information that you provide directly to us when you:
- Request a freight quote through our website form
- Communicate with us by email, phone or text message
- Submit a driver or owner-operator application
- Sign up for our freight updates email list
- Tender, book, track or invoice a shipment with us
This information may include your name, company name, email address, phone number, mailing or facility address, shipment details (origin, destination, commodity, weight, equipment and dates), and any other information you choose to include in your message.
We also automatically collect limited technical information when you visit our website, such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring page and pages viewed. This is used to keep the site working and understand general traffic patterns — not to identify you personally.
2. SMS / Text Message Communications
Mobile Opt-In and SMS Consent
Phone numbers obtained as part of the SMS consent process will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase or of using our services.
If you consent to receive text messages from North East Express, you may receive messages related to:
- Quote responses and rate confirmations
- Pickup and delivery appointment reminders and scheduling
- Shipment status, ETA and delivery notifications
- Follow-up messages regarding your loads
- Billing inquiries and payment updates
- Driver applicant follow-up, if you applied to drive with us
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies depending on your shipping activity. You may receive up to 2 SMS messages per week regarding your shipments or account status, and more frequent messages while a specific load is in transit if you have asked for status updates.
Standard Messaging Fees
Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier's plan. These rates may vary for messages sent domestically or internationally. North East Express does not charge for text messages.
Opt-Out Method
You can opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by:
- Replying STOP to any SMS message you receive from us
- Emailing info@northeastxpress.com or calling (612) 642-2796
- Unchecking the SMS consent box on any of our forms
After you reply STOP, we will send one confirmation message and then stop sending texts to that number. Opting out of SMS does not opt you out of email or phone communication about active shipments.
Help
For assistance with SMS messages, reply HELP to any message, or contact us at (612) 642-2796 or info@northeastxpress.com.
Carrier disclaimer: mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to network conditions outside our control.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide freight quotes, book loads and perform transportation services
- Communicate with you about your shipments, appointments and invoices

4. Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
- With service providers who support our operations — for example dispatch and transportation management software, ELD and tracking providers, insurance carriers, and accounting or billing services — who are only permitted to use the information to perform services for us
- With shippers, receivers, brokers or agents directly involved in transporting your specific shipment, to the extent needed to complete pickup and delivery
- When required by law, subpoena, regulation, safety investigation or lawful government request
- To establish, exercise or defend legal claims, or to protect the rights, property or safety of North East Express, our drivers, our customers or the public
- With your explicit consent
5. Data Security
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction — including access controls on our dispatch and accounting systems and limiting information to the people who need it to do their job. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Retention
We keep shipment, billing and safety records for as long as required by federal motor carrier regulations, tax law and our insurance obligations. Quote requests and general inquiries that do not become shipments are retained only as long as needed for follow-up and normal business records. You may ask us to delete information we are not legally required to keep.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of information that is inaccurate or out of date
- Request deletion of your information, subject to our legal and regulatory retention obligations
- Opt out of SMS messages at any time (see Section 2)
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any message
- Withdraw consent for processing where processing is based on consent
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 13. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
8. Cookies & Tracking
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site functioning, remember your preferences and understand aggregate traffic patterns. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; core parts of the site will still work. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles.
9. Third-Party Links & Services
Our website may link to or embed third-party services — for example an embedded map or a form provider. Those services have their own privacy policies, and this policy does not cover their practices. We encourage you to review the policies of any third-party service you interact with.

11. Driver Applicant Information
If you apply to drive with North East Express, information you provide — including your driving history, employment history and results of any DOT-required screening — is used solely to evaluate your application and to meet our obligations under 49 CFR Parts 382 and 391. It is not sold or used for marketing. Applicant records are retained for the periods required by federal regulation.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of our website or services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
